SENTIENT AUTHORS

Frank White, MPhil

AUTHOR, CO-FOUNDER OF THE human space program.

Frank is the author or co-author of 16 books on topics ranging from space exploration to AI to climate change. His book, The Overview Effect: Space Exploration and Human Evolution, is considered by many to be a seminal work in the field of space exploration and development. A film called “Overview,” based largely on his work, has had more than 8 million plays on Vimeo. Frank is also a co-founder of the Human Space Program, a leading organization whose mission is to ensure the sustainable, ethical, and inclusive evolution of humanity into the solar ecosystem. Frank is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a Rhodes Scholar. He earned his M.Phil. in Politics from Oxford University. Frank is a co-executive editor for Sentient Media, LLC.

Jeffrey Manber

Special Representative to the CEO at Voyager Technologies

Jeffrey is the Special Representative to the CEO at Voyager Technologies. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Nanoracks (since acquired by Voyager) and is its Co-Founder. He served as the Chief Executive Officer from 2009 until 2021 during which time he broke barriers for access to the space environment and oversaw the growth of numerous commercial International Space Station programs. Jeffrey also directed the development of the Bishop Airlock, the first and only commercial airlock on the ISS. As the only American to ever work officially for the Russian space program, he served as Managing Director of Energia USA, the American arm of RSC Energia, and co-developed the first fund dedicated to commercial space on Wall Street with Shearson Lehman. He has served as an advisor to numerous space companies and governments.

 

Dr. Annahita Nezami, CPsychol, DPsych, MSc

PSYCHOLOGIST, RESEARCHER, FOUNDER OF EARTHSCAPEVR

Dr. Annahita Nezami is a researcher, the founder of EarthscapeVR, and a chartered counselling psychologist who provides consultation, assessment, and therapy to a diverse clientele, ranging from organisations to individuals and couples. With an unwavering commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Nezami’s areas of interest span a broad spectrum, including space psychology, peak experiences, altered states of consciousness, performance psychology, and neuropsychology, as well as stress management. Currently serving as a Lecturer at Kepler Space University, she has shared her expertise on platforms such as BBC Radio 4, Central Saint Martin’s, University College London (UCL), and TEDx events.

Mark Wagner, Ph.D.

CEO and co-founder of ARES Learning

Dr. Mark Wagner is CEO and co-founder of ARES Learning, which prepares students with the skill sets and mindsets they need to be successful in the growing space economy – and in humanity’s rapidly approaching multi-planet future. He also serves as President of the Space Prize Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering young women to pursue STEAM education and explore careers in the space industry. In addition, he offers space education courses for teachers and is working toward publishing the first Journal of Space Education. Mark has a Ph.D. in Educational Technology and a master’s degree in Cross-Cultural Education. He also holds graduate certificates in Space Education and Space Philosophy.

Rod Pyle, MA

Space author, journalist, and historian

Rod Pyle is a space author, journalist, and historian who has authored 21 books on space history, exploration, and development for major publishers and NASA. His works have been released in 10 languages. He is the Editor-in-Chief for the National Space Society’s quarterly print magazine Ad Astra, and serves as the NSS’s Director of Communications. He has written for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Johnson Space Center, Caltech, and the Library of Congress, as well as Space.com, WIRED, Popular Science, the World Economic Forum, Futurity, and BBC’s Sky at Night. He holds a BFA from the Art Center College of Design and an MA from Stanford University. Rod is a co-executive editor for Sentient Media, LLC.
